Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Kids Program

When you enroll your child in our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes at Grey Wolf BJJ, your child will receive a lifetime of benefits. Our Kids’ Jiu-Jitsu program offers them the physical fitness, self-confidence, discipline, and respect from their peers and adults alike. Your child will also develop physical awareness of coordination, balance, and flexibility. Through drills, technique, and sparring, they will build a strong foundation and the ability to defend themselves, learn non-violent conflict resolution skills and bully-prevention tactics.

Our Youth Program is thoughtfully structured, dividing students into different age groups based on maturity and skill level. This ensures that the material taught is suitable for their developmental stage and fosters an environment where children of similar size, maturity, and age can thrive and progress together.

Our classes are designed to be positive, fun, and friendly, ensuring that your child truly enjoys their journey of learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We create a supportive atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for the art while imparting valuable life skills.

Your Child’s First BJJ Class: A Comprehensive Introduction

During your child’s first BJJ class, they will engage in a structured session that includes warm-up exercises, stretches, and drills. Our experienced instructors will demonstrate techniques from different angles, answer questions, and provide individual attention as students practice with partners. Sequential techniques will be introduced, allowing them to progress step-by-step. Towards the end of the class, specific training and live sparring will provide opportunities to apply their learned techniques in practical scenarios.

BJJ Kids Belt Ranking System

We follow the IBJJF’s Ranking Guidelines. In addition to the belt rankings, we also include the striping system between belt ranks to track the progress of our students.

Children are not eligible for BJJ Adult Ranks until they reach the age of 16. When a student reaches the age of 16, they are evaluated to verify they meet all the requirements, skills, knowledge for their BJJ Blue Belt.
